Jerry DiGiacomo, founder of DiGiacomo Construction, Inc., worked in his family’s business, R and D Concrete through his teens and early twenties. He then went on to become an iron worker on high rise buildings including: Liberty II, the John Wanamaker Building, 1234 Market Street, the Tourine Building, Locust Point Condominiums and many other 4-5 story buildings throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. These projects set the ground work for a deeper understanding of commercial building needs.

In 1991, during a downturn in the commercial building sector, Jerry went back to his roots in concrete and began DiGiacomo Construction Inc. to service residential customers. Building on a stellar reputation for getting the job finished on time, on budget and to specifications, he’s built the company into an industry standard for excellence.

Residential, commercial, and industrial projects have included: stucco; brick; block; excavation; concrete; stamped concrete; asphalt; seal-coating and striping; footers; foundations; sonic tubes; and trenching for duct-banks, fireplugs, and underground utilities. We have the equipment, manpower and knowledge to perform any large or small project.

BLACKTOP / PAVING

Residential & Commercial Blacktop/Paving Services Available

Whether your existing lot needs repair or you want asphalt where there wasn’t any, we can get the job done. Our services include removal of worn out asphalt, patching, and construction of new parking lots and driveways.

New asphalt – ID2 asphalt, 2” binder and 2”top.
Overlay on existing lot.
Repair of potholes – sawcut where needed, removal of debris
and replace with ID2 hot asphalt.
Sealcoating and crack fill.
Stone and grading where needed for asphalt.
Striping for parking lots including handicapped parking spots.

BRICK & BLOCK

Brick

Projects have included the removal of an existing brick front and replacing it with a more refined brick color and quality. During such projects we are able to replace windows, doors, lentils and shutters if applicable or reinstall your existing windows and doors. Owners are given a choice in colors as well as window and door configurations.

Maybe you’d like a new retaining wall or a classic patio to match your existing brick home, we can do that too. With our two plus decades of experience, we’re confident we can help you achieve the style and function you desire.

Cinderblock

Bond beam work, lentils – steel and masonry, 8”hollows, 12” hollows, foundation blockwork, grouting.

HAULING & REMOVAL OF DEBRIS

If your lot needs clearing, we’ve got the equipment and manpower to get it cleared. From site work to lot clearing of demolition materials, we can safely and efficiently make way for you to move forward with your projects.

We have the equipment to meet your hauling needs with small dump trucks and large ten wheel dumps to move earth and debris from your job site. In addition we have excavators, backhoes, bulldozers and bobcats to get debris loaded and on it’s way.

Whether you tear it down or we do, we can remove it from the property to a recycling center for you.
