Quality Gutters & Downspout Installation
Gutters & Downspouts are an important part of your homes exterior construction and should be considered as part of a residential roof replacement project. Gutters keep water away from the structure and foundation saving costly damage to the home. We install long-lasting sectional and seamless aluminum gutters and matching downspouts on your home with or without leaf protection options. As a Mastic Preferred Contractor, we are held to the highest gutter and downspout installation standards. Using Mastic PlyGem gutters and downspouts you can have the new look you want with peace of mind that your home is in good hands.
Most roofing contractors drop the old shingles and roofing debris from the roof and onto tarps laid on the ground beside your home. This falling debris can damage your home's exterior and landscaping leaving you with a mess to clean up and damage to repair. Their heavy equipment can damage your lawn. Choose a roofing contractor who cares about the details and will leave your home and landscaping the same as when they arrived.
We use the Roofer's Buggy to Protect your Home and Yard from Debris Leaving a Clean and Safe Work Site.
The Roofer's Buggy (Equipter RB4000) collects debris at the roof level and safely lowers it to the ground, no falling debris to damage the structure or surrounding landscaping. It's small size, 12ft lift and self powered mobility make it possible to move over the property and under eaves to remove old shingles, nails and other debris neatly and quickly. It's extra wide tires prevent any tracks when driven across the lawn. The Roofer's Buggy creates an efficient workflow that results in top-notch roof replacements completed in less time than contractors who do not use this equipment. The Roofer's Buggy, in conjunction with our dump trucks, eliminates the need for ugly dumpsters that can damage driveways.
Skylight Installation or Replacement
Skylights provide great natural lighting and beauty to your home. We install Velux skylights in a variety of styles. Installed by our professionals, Velux skylights are clean, quiet, energy efficient and safe. Roof windows are perfect for upper floor bonus rooms where they will be within reach for easy opening. Features include a sash that rotates inward for easy cleaning from the inside and a ventilation flap that allows for fresh air circulation when the window is closed.
- Soffit - covers the underside of the roof overhang
- Fascia - connects the roof to the soffit, where gutters are attached
Product options are available that require no painting or maintenance in the future. Vents allow adequate air flow. When a roof is properly ventilated lower heating bills, improved interior comfort, and a longer roof life will result.
Vinyl is chosen most for home exterior siding. It is durable, looks great, and requires no maintenance. Vinyl is final. Available in a variety of siding colors and textures, we can give your home the look you want.
As a Mastic Preferred Contractor, we are held to the highest standards. Using Mastic PlyGem siding, soffit, fascia, and gutters, you can have the new look you want with peace of mind that your home is in good hands. Try Mastic PlyGem vinyl and aluminum siding, gutter, and downspout products on your home with the Designed Exterior Studio.
Hail can damage your roof by leaving dents in your shingles, etc. It can bruise a shingle causing an indentation that may be hard to see but that can crack the shingle allowing water to leak over time.
Potential signs of hail damage:
- Other hail damage around the house; dents on cars or other items on your house or in your yard
- A distinct pattern of small round-shaped divots on the edges of the shingles
- Indentations in the shingle where granules are missing
- A large pile of granules at the end of your downspout; a small amount is normal, especially with new shingles
Potential signs of wind damage:
- Missing shingles
- Thin horizontal lines where granules have been worn off about 1-2 inches beneath the shingle above; this could indicate that the shingle seal was broken and the shingle was flapping in the wind rubbing against the shingle above it
Winter can cause havoc on your roof. Leaks can be caused by an ice dam. Ice dams are the most common damage causing problem to roofs. Ice dams form when snow sits on the roof for a time, melts and refreezes. As this melt and refreeze pattern continues, water travels downward then freezes again as it reaches the eaves and forms a dam at the edge which doesn't allow water to flow off of the roof. That water will get under the shingles and damage eaves and gutters and leak into the home. The melting and freezing cycle happens when a roof is not properly vented causing heat to escape through the shingles. To prevent this from occurring, be sure your roof is properly ventilated and gutters and downspouts are kept clear of debris. Ice and water shield underlayment will help to prevent this leaking from occurring. If snow does build up, cautiously rake it from the edges or hire a roofing contractor to properly shovel the snow from the roof.
